If you are at least 12 years of age or have a group of kids ages 12 years and older and are looking for a fun way to help out your community, volunteers are wanted at Ventura's Aquatic Center. Individuals as well as groups are welcome to sign up to help keep the Ventura Aquatic Center facilities clean by hosing the courtyard and deck and cleaning the handrails, tables, trash cans, guard towers and more.
Volunteers are needed for the first Saturday of each month to help maintain the facility from 9am to 11:30am. If you are interested in having your child volunteer or wish to sign up your group to help, please contact the Volunteer Ventura Office at 805-652-4555. Participants must commit to volunteering by the Wednesday before each monthly clean up session is scheduled.
Keep in mind that it is now a requirement in many Ventura County high schools that students have a specific amount of volunteer hours accumulated before they can graduate. The total number of volunteer hours can vary from school to school. So, check with your school's office to see exactly what the requirement is there. Becoming a volunteer at Ventura's Aquatic Center is a fun way to get your volunteer requirement done and make a valuable contribution to your Ventura community at the same time.
