The foreclosure business spares no one....even this lovely historic bed and breakfast in northern Baltimore County. This lavishly refurbished country estate in Monkton with 10 suites that offered whirlpool tubs and spa showers was offered and sold at foreclosure auction on February 23, 2011.

The property dated back to colonial times and boasted a beatifully appointed Victorian Inn, a guest house, four stall horse barn and riding ring all situated on approximately 23 acres of land at 15820 Old York Road.

Only a few people showed up at the auction on the court house steps and no other bids were offered other than the one made by lender at $1.1 Million. Nancy Wallis, who is the only one listed on the deed stated, "We did well the first two years we were open but once 2008 hit, it was a ghost town in Monkton."
