I encourage anyone who owns a smart phone (andriod, Iphone, etc) to use the free app called Heytell.  It isn't new but it is awesome.  It is a free nextell type form of communication that allows you to send free and instant audio messages to those who you friend.  It is a very quick, easy and saves on text message costs if you do not pay for unlimited messaging.  Try it out!
