Jim: This is a great family event and the extra credit that may be given to children attending and asking questions at the "Ask Me", booth is a very good incentive!
Jim,
I did a number of science projects and fairs since we have 4 sons. We always had a blast.

Jim this sounds like a lot of fun. Not sure about the finger painting with algae. What if you get some in your mouth. Ewwwww! Spoken like a true girl.
Nice highlight of the San Diego Science Festival Jim. I certainly know that both my 7 & 3 year olds would very much enjoy the finger painting with algae activity.
Jim - Science festival expos are great family events, and always fun to attend. Thanks for the information.
You should go and take some photos of the really cool entries! Then post them for us to see! :)))
Well, I'm thinking finger-painting with algae can be lots of fun as long as you don't lick your fingers afterwards :) Sounds like a fun event---someone in the family needs to go and take pictures and post them.
Sounds wonderful. I love Science Fairs, my husband use to teach science & math and grade the projects from the schools. It was great to see the wonderful projects. There were things set forward in the rules that made sure the students actually did the work and interviews with them as well before winners were announced, it was a great learning experience for them and us too. Nice post to promote the event in San Diego, the fun community to live (I hear there are great people who live there too).
Jim, it does sound interesting, I am not sure that I would enjoy finger painting with algae, but it does sound interesting!
You sure have lots of interesting festivals. Be sure to share lots of photographs.
