31 Comments on Working In Real Estate Today Is Like Sharing A Pizza.....Make Sure You Take Your Piece Before It's Gone!!
Hi Barbara, 3 listing this week and 2 buyers and a open house today. Things are picking up.
Barbara --- you never know how long a market may last, could to grab it while it's hot(and fresh out of the oven if you're talking pizza). Otherwise, someone may take your piece(business or pizza for that matter).
Will....don't stop now....keep working your systems and capture as much of that market as possible....congratulations for being on track.
Michael....that's the picture....get it while it's hot from the oven....and devour every morsel.
Barbara.. Your are right about the time for Open Houses. The weather is nice in San Antonio and the buyers are out there. Great post!!
Hi Jerry.....hope you have blogged about your open house events and directed traffic your way.....I blog about mine on thursday....that gives every serious buyer the opportunity to plan their schedule....many are planners and want to decide in advance if they will be visiting open house events on the weekend.
I agree, in this business we need to plan our "downtime" during slack periods. It baffles me that local agents will go on a two-week vacation during peak season.
Barbara- it's like the saying "make hay while the sun shines!" Nothing lasts forever, good or bad, so I agree. Make the most of every lead and every listing.
Doug....that's always made me wonder what they are thinking too....
Kathy...yes, we all need to do that....
I'm working 24/7 to rake in as much business as possible, while it's here.
we are too....get it while it's there....
Congrats on a busy market--the spring blitz has not arrived yet, but I'm ready for it!
we have to always be ready......it gives us no warning....
Hi Barbara, this is great advice. I've noticed that the traffic at open houses has really been a complete turnaround from last year...they are much busier! Gotta be out there grabbing that piece of my pie! Now you know, I am craving a slice of pizza as well as a slice of business!
Cindy.....there's always room for a slice of pizza and a piece of business.....
Barbara...I am experiencing the same; things are very busy right now. Sometimes I wish it would even out throughout the year but that's just not the way it works so we need to take it while we can.
Barbara, I am about 100 miles north of Tish # 5. It is not happening here yet either. Both of us are hurt because the biggest part of the business is second homes, and those are just not moving yet.
Hi Barbara. In the Tampa Bay area buyers are coming out of the woodwork. Lately there seems to be a surge in activity. I am pacing myself :)
Christine....feast or famine....
Tom....second homes!!! ouch....
Lana....new englanders???? bad winter months drove them to you....
Barbara,
Congratulations. Your great post is now featured in "Tuesday's Treasures." :)
Steve
Thank you, Steve....you're much too nice to me....
