I was looking through the MLS with a client the other day to preview the homes which had come up on her search. There were several homes which only had one picture of the front of the house and no other pictures, and they were not bank owned properties.
Dear Listing Agent, what could possibly be the problem, why is there only one picture of the house?
* Was this a home on a movie set where there is only a front view with nothing on the other side?
* Could you not find your way through the front door?
* Was there no living room, kitchen, bedrooms, or bathrooms?
* Did your camera battery die?
* Were your legs broken and you could not get out of your car to walk inside?
* Did you receive an emergency call that your loved one was being taken to the hospital?
My client was not interested in looking at any of the homes that did not have pictures of the inside. She felt that if the listing agent did not feel it was worth their time to take pictures of the inside, then she too did not want to waste her time on the property either.
What a disservice this is to the home owner by their listing agent. The home owner deserves to have their home shown in the best possible light. As professionals, we should be giving the best service possible when we agree to list a property.
