I am a cupcake lover. There’s just something about a good, moist cupcake topped with a little bit lot of sweetness. Personally, I always say if the icing doesn’t hit the nose…it was not made properly. I recently discovered that some of the best cupcakes have been hiding at “Sweet Wishes”, which is a gourmet cupcake shop on Perkins Road. I actually stopped by “Sweet Wishes” to get a dozen cupcakes for a friend who had helped me out recently. Of course, she absolutely loved them but I didn’t dare mention that six were missing. Luckily, I didn’t incriminate myself by having icing on the nose. If you are craving or possibly foaming at the mouth for a gourmet cupcake…you should definitely scope out “Sweet Wishes” on Perkins. I’m fortunate enough to live right down the road from “Sweet Wishes”, but if you live in another part of town and are thinking ‘cupcakes’, there are several other sweet spots to check out in Baton Rouge.
