Furniture & Appliances For Sale

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with George Sheldon Photographer

Sometimes the real estate photos just look like the furniture or the appliances are for sale, rathet than the property. That's the feeling I get from these two photos. The one above sure looks like a dining room table and hutch might be for sale. The shot sure out have been helped with the dining room light on. And a different angle. Below, this shot looks like someone is selling the frige and the stove.

It's a shame when nice properties are not marketed with great photography. These are being added to my no-no photo collection. No-no photos are those that should be used to market property.

George, I agree.  Pictures are so very important to marketing. Sometimes I see pictures on the mls and say why would they post that.  And although these pictures could have been taken from better angles or a little bit wider to get in more of the room, they could be alot worse..

I'm sorry but the exposure is awful on these images.  As soon as I see a bad exposure such as these ones, i can't look past them...  but you are right, looks like a Thrifty Nickel picutre to sell the overly used appliances  :)

I love it! Coincidence .. I just did a blog about basically the same thing:

I tell my realtors to encourage the people who are intereviewing them to "make sure to visit my competition's website...look at their marketing. Are the photographer's shoes in the entry? Dishes in the sink?" The list goes on. If they whip out their throw-away camera during the evening listing appointment to take the listing photos, it might be too late.

OK sometimes even perfect photography can't help - call a stager then hire a photographer, it really is the best way.

AMEN,

I keep wanting to post goofy MLS photos, too! There are so many bad ones, these are realatively benign.

I have been noticing lots of photos of trash cans on the MLS. Is that a new decorating trend!?
