Saturday, April 2, 2011, at 10:00 am, marks the beginning of the Downtown Charlottesville Walking Tour season. The walking tours are hosted by the Albemarle Charlottesville Historical Society.
These are guided walking tours of historic downtown Charlottesville. As the tour winds its way through the Court Square familiar to Thomas Jefferson, James Madison and James Monroe, the tour guide will share historical facts and stories to describe the early years of Charlottesville. Tours are one hour in length.

Saturday Mornings at 10 am
Cost: Suggested Donation: $5
On the third Saturday of each month, there is a special tour of the Downtown Mall, and tours of the African American Starr Hill neighborhood are available by special request.
