The First Lady of Real Estate Ebby Halliday is Turning 100...
I first learned of Ebby Halliday about a year ago on the Mike Huckabee show on Fox News. She truly is an amazing woman. I immediately ordered her book to learn more about this pioneer in real estate.
Ebby will celebrate the BIG 100 on Wednesday March 9, 2011. Today and the next several days I will share some things with you from her book.
Ebby didn't start out selling houses and I would imagine none of us began our sales career selling houses either. I for one started out with Girl Scout cookies then progressed on to Tupperware, then moved on to home cookware sales and then last but not least the sale of houses. Ebby's sales started in the ladies' hat department at the W.A. Green Department Store. After six years she'd had enough. Ebby started her own botique hat shop called "Ebby's Hats."
Ebby believes that the foundation for reaching your goals and living a happy fufilled life start out with a daily relationship with God, expressing gratitude for life and asking for His guidance.
What follows is Ebby's recipe for a meaningful life:
1. Maintain your health.
2. Keep learning.
3. Choose a career wisely.
4. Learn to communicate.
5. Build your self-confidence.
6. Create good business habits.
7. Observe company policy.
8. Express gratitude by thanking people.
