Where the Worst Driver's Reside

I thought this information would be nice to know since I drive a lot in a Southern California.  Some say 30k is a lot... I wish I could keep my mileage down that low.  Many in the real estate industry understand this.  I've taken 4 US state drivers license's test while studying their handbook at the DMV, MVA, or DOT.  It's amazing how the basic laws are sort of simular, but the several differences makes it hard to get use to seeing acted on the road and applying it to my driving repertoire.

Here is 2009's data since I have not found 2010's data yet.... GMAC Insurance data is based on the driver's basic knowledge of driving laws.  This test was given to more than 5k drivers from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The final data shows that over 20% of Americans could not pass their current state's written driving test if giving to them.  That's about 41 million drivers on the road thinking they know how to drive.  Try the test yourself at www.nationaldriverstest.com.

So the basic results are no big surprise that drivers over 35 years of age were more likely to pass the test rather than those under 35. Moveover, males over the age of 45 posted the highest scores, while on the opposite spectrum 18-24 years old young adults have the highest failure rates. So now you know who the insurance company charges more to insure them.
