Do you practice “interlocution”?

If you don’t know the meaning of this word don’t worry I didn’t either until I read the meaning.  We do this all the time every day.  Now a lot of us don’t use the proper words and etiquette when doing this.  Did you ever wonder why some agents seem to get listings and sells while the vast majority of us struggle to get by?  It could be due to this.  The meaning of (in’ter lo kyoo’shen) talk between two or more people; interchange of speech.  Listen carefully and then speak only after you choose your words wisely.

Inter what?  I think that I will practice more listening and then speaking.  Nice choice of a new word of the day.

Most people fail to practice interlocution. Most people just want you to listen to them. Why fight it? You don't learn anything by talking!

Hi James - Most people don't listen.  Thay are trying to impress the other person with their vast knowledge.  They should be solving the other person's real estate problems.

Good Morning James - today's word certainly is appropriate for our business.  Effective listening is a learned skill and must be continually practiced.  Human nature being what it is I believe most of us want to speak rather than listen.
