Happy Women's Day back at ya!  Women have earned this recognition -- we should be shouting it from the rooftops!  Oh, that's right.  Can't get there, Charlie Sheen's up there with a machete.  Oh well, I'll shout it from my deck.

Tammy I am little late to the party but I've been celebrating 8th of March mu whole life. In Russia it's government holiday and my husband here took the day off to spend it with me. That's why I didn't post my blog about it LOL.For us it's a mixture of Valntines day and Mothers day. Fresh flowers are must...

BTW first women's strike for equal rights with man that draw attention to the public was in NY than it was a woman's congress in Europe. of course this revolutionary idea was supported by Soviet Union government and since than Russia is celebrating Int'l Woman's Day. I guess I will publish my blog that is in draft next year LOL. Russia celebrate this day because we didn't have Mother's Day or Valentines day. Now Russia is adopting American Holiday but the ones that we celebrate since we were little are always deeper in our hearts.

Sadly, I "celebrated" this day for many years, being born in Central/Eastern Europe. Nobody really liked it because of it's association with communist block.
