Energy conservation in your Historic Home in Denver has always been a majoy concern.   Yes, those classic old windows and doors are beautiful,  but you know they leak heat like a sieve.  Historic Denver, through Historic Denver's Preservation for Living is offering a workshop this Thursday, March 10th for Historic Home owners.  The workshop will include a video of the process that homeowners go through to audit the energy efficiency of their home.  Three architectural types will be addressed in the video, Bungalows, Victorians and Mid-Century Styles.

Homeowners will be shown where energy is most often lost, and cost effective steps that can be taken to cut your energy bill while still maintaining your home's historical integrity and character. The workshop is funded by the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Colorado's State Historical Fund.

Where:  Arvada City Hall in the Anne Campbell Room
            8101 Ralston Road, Arvada, CO
            Use the police entrance
When:  March 10th between 6pm - 8pm

You got another article that made me read it three times. A very inforative and knowledgeable blog. If you really have a historic home, you can conserve energy. there are a lot of ways to do it. Its on how you handle and do things right. Good luck on conserving energy!

There really are ways that those of us that live in old historic homes can be energy wise.  It just takes a tiny bit of effort.
