Wordless Wednesday in the White Mountains NH - March views

By
Managing Real Estate Broker with Alpine Lakes Real Estate Inc., NHRE# 02863

After two weeks of back to back School vacations in the surrounding New England states...I had a chance to ski for two hours today - prior to my first meeting of the day.

We had a ton of rain on Monday...but it froze to the trees at higher elevations. This is a shot of Mount Washington New England's highest peak (6,300 feet) on a clear day you can see 50 miles to the east.

The Loon Mountain Ski Resort had received 73 inches of snow in February alone...so a little rain made for a tough couple of days of skiing, but with great grooming and deep coverage the spring skiing will be awesome.

The Northern view from the top of Loon Mountain....Not a bad day in Lincoln New Hampshire.

This is the View of Franconia Notch from the top of the South mountain summit of the Loon Mt resort.

We have several home sites, homes and condos slope side here : Ski Home Locations at Loon Mt

Steve, the ice on the trees looks pretty, but can be a real hassel and a real danger also.

I love that icey tree phenomena.  If you're lucky enough to see it when the sun is "just right" it's truly a magical moment.  All sparkly and beautiful.  Just like diamonds.

Tammy, thanks for rubbing that in, I am dreaming of golf. But I love winter too I wish the seasons would change all at once it's the mud and junk in between I could live without.

Michael...took these with a little Canon Power shot, just good light and a cheap camera.

Patricia , The ice sculptures were great today I think I took 50+ pictures today, while riding the ski lifts.

Ralph , Skiing from 9am - 11 is just right, fresh snow ,sun coming up, blue sky's. I've been to busy to get outdoor so this was a wonderful distraction.

Steve ice storms can be very dangerous, but they do leave the trees looking like they were made of crystal.

Thanks for taking us all skiing. And for double black diamonds with the thrills and spills jumps. Neat ice on those branches.
