Huge rocking chair in White County Arkansas. Paul Bunyan size person needed.

Romance is just a little town with no stores and not many people but it has a post office.  The post office mostly does business because of the name where the mail is processed.  They do a big business at Valentine's Day or when someone is sending out wedding invitations.

I went through Romance to find an REO property.  Romance didn't do much for me but this thing that I found on the side of Highway 5 did make my heart flutter.

Yellow giant chair

That, my friends, is a chair!  That is a huge chair!  That is a chair that Paul Bunyan would have fit into.  I must admit I didn't read the fine print on the building that is beside the chair but they surely provided an eye-catching item with the chair.  I need to go back and sit in the chair for a photo op!!!

It would be great to know the "story" behind that Paul Bunyan yellow chair.  Maybe the giant in "Jack and The Beanstalk" shared it when not climbing.  It doesn't look like that Midway store is doing much business.

I love rockers, but I'm afraid that one would never fit on my front porch!  Cute!!!

The size alone would set this chair apart, the color is just icing on the cake!

I've noticed this before! Seems like something that should be on Roadside Architecture (one of my favorite websites; here are her photos of giant furniture).

Can you believe that I didn't notice a big yellow chair when we were went out that way.  I must have been talking...can't imagine that.  I love rockers.  I have 4 and I am trying to get the guys to get 2 more for the front porch.

If you go and have your picture made in the BIG Yellow Chair...you might want to take a BIG Cushion and then you could have your own TV Show.  The BIG Comfy Rocker and Barbara or Barbara and the Big Comfy Rocker.  What do you think?  I'd tune in and watch it!

Sue, thanks for the comment.  It does appear that the rocking chair didn't lead to success for the store.

Bill and Cyndi, just build a bigger house!

Don, you thought up something that I hadn't thought of!

Luke, I need to visit that site.  You always have the best info sites!  Thanks.

Debbie, take little Luke and his pup to this place and do a picture.  We really need something beside it to show size.

Godmother,

He was almost as smart and as much a powerhouse as me.

Nutsy, did you mean that you are as smart, almost, as a yellow rocking chair?

Godmother,

Please I mean I am as strong and smarter than Paul Bunions. He is Canadian by the ways.

Godson, do you mean you are stronger and smarter than the bunions on your toes from walking around in Boss Steve's shoes?

Sadly, the  rocking chair is gone. The storms that came through 4/25-4/26 2011 blew the chair away.
