That's right, I dont' want to be, but I am.
We decided long ago that we would not let buyers or sellers, clients or customers get to us. Everyone has a bad day here and there and we won't let others attitudes determine how our day would be.
But, I have to admit, I am a little grumpy today.
Received a call from potential Seller Sally. Spent a long time on the phone with her discussing the co-op she needs to sell. It's been rented for 4 years and the community changed it's policy and will not allow renters living in the complex anymore.
Seller Sally understands how the market has changed in the past 4 years and knows the prices have been reduced. She's okay with it as she must sell. We went over all the details on the phone and scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 1:00. That worked out well for us as we had a showing appointment only ten minutes away.
We called Seller Sally in the morning to confirm our appointment, and she said she will be there. After our showing, we drove to the communnity and arrived 10 minutes early. That was good because her unit was not on the main road and we had to navigate to the right area. But, now she is 15 minutes late and we say, we will wait 5 more minutes before we call.
Okay, 20 minutes late so now we call her. Hi Seller Sally, this is Sheila. Just wanted to let you know we're here at the co-op waiting for you.
"Who is this?"
It's Larry and Sheila, we have a 1:00 appointment.
"Oh, I won't be able to make it, my daughter has the keys and she won't be back home unitl friday evening." I spoke with you this morning to confirm and you said you would be here.
"Well I don't have the keys and I couldn't find your number." "Can we re-schedule for Wednesday morning at 10:00?"
She didn't apoligize for not showing up or not calling, but we just chalked it up to another day in the real estate business.
We had to do some shuffling around with other appointments, but made ourselves available for Seller Sally and her daughter.
As we were rushing out the door, I said to Larry, let's call just to make certain she'll be there. When she answered her cell, she said
"Who is this?"
It's Larry and Sheila and we just wanted to let you know we are leaving and will meet you at 10:00.
"Oh Sheila, I'm going to have to disappoint you again - We decided we're not going to sell."
Okay, so be it, but why didn't you call to let us know...Hello, Hello, Hello????
So, I'm a little grumpy today!
