No time to write blogs? You can hire someone to write for you.

I thought two of the major points of blogs were:

1. Free marketing

2. You put your own personality into it

However, after attending a Search Engine conference recently, I discovered that some companies advertising that they can write these blogs for you for a fee.  Well, doesn't that kill the whole essence of blogging?

1. You pay someone

2. It's no longer really your own personal thoughts

The catch phrase this company uses is "Custom News Marketing".  They employ newsroom journalists to write custom articles that are published in full on your website or blog, indexed by search engines and shared across social media.

By custom news, I wonder if they mean they just change a few words here and there for their different customers.  This companies full time newsroom journalists and researchers write custom news and blogs, delivered by XML feed and published in full on your website.  RSS.

Custom written and keyword heavy.  Does that mean the words Sunnyvale and Real Estate will be in every half sentence?

No more amateurish blogs.  News contest of the highest editorial quality and relevance will drive traffic, improve organic SEO, and increase your in-bound links.

They have a team of social media experts (i.e. college kids) actively suport and implement news marketing strategies proven to generate followers, fans, conversations and revenue.

News Aggregator Inclusion.  Is that similar to how ActiveRain aggregates all of our blogs?

Robert many of the Active Rain Superstars here will tell you that paying someone to write blogs for you is not the way to go. When you blog, people should know it is you and not somebody else that wrote what they just finished reading. I would definitely pay someone to help me improving my Social Media sites. But I wouldn't pay someone to blog for me. That's just me. Parked here for more comments.

It does kill the essence and it does not bring your personal side into it when someone is paid to do it for you.  I would not do it but I don't fault those who do.  Great post.

Good Morning Robert, I would agree with Lanre, people need to know it is you and what you think.
