I Love My Job

By
Real Estate Agent with Hardy Realty

Isn't real estate fun?

What other business can you be involved in that you can work your own hours, take your business with you on trips, or do at your own speed. You can make as much money as you put into it, or as little. I know the market has been tough in the last couple of years, but even my worst year, I made more than my son that works 6 days a week and from 8-7 almost every day. He gets 2 weeks vacation, and a few sick days. I felt like I was practicing retirement, was off more than I worked, went to the beach numerous times, and to visit my daughter several times, and still made more than he did. Maybe we should be thankful for our jobs. I was trying to decide if I wanted to look for another job, but after working for a couple of days, NOPE.

I am a Registered Songrapher also. I love that work, but I am too old to take call, and drag people around. I am helping a girl in an Imaging Center when she is off. I have worked for her 2 times, and after each one, I praise God for allowing me to be a Realtor.

I think we should all be thankful. This is a wonderful profession. We help people make the biggest investment they will probably ever make. We make sure it is good decision. (at least the good realtors do), we help them make wise decisions about locations, financing, decorating, and landscaping. We are jacks of all trades. But we love it. If you don't love it, it will be hard work for you.

I always heard, "If you love your job, you will never work a day!"

Hello Karen,

I could not agree more! We have the opportunity to help make a difference in people's lives and I enjoy some days more than others but wouldn't change what I do.
