I can't believe I'm doing this. I'm 24 years old, and from that "younger generation" that knows "everything about computers". I never have a problem figuring something out for myself on these things.
Until I got Vista.
I have a wireless network at home, and that isn't a problem. We have a wired network here at the office, and I have a minor problem that I can't seem to fix.
We have a HP printer that we all share on the network. I have hooked up to it, and everything was fine until a tech came in to install our Canon laser on my laptop. He didn't have Vista drivers, so he couldn't do it. Unfortunately, I got stuck fixing all the things he did.
My problem is that now whenever I disconnect from the network, the office printer (HP) shows up "offline". When I hook back up to the office network, it remains offline, and I can't seem to figure out how to change it to online! Now I have dealt with this before in ME and XP and 98, so I thought this wouldn't be a problem. I even try "Use printer offline" and that doesn't work. I don't know what else to do, because I can't seem to find the option to change it to online. So instead I've been stuck deleting and re-installing the printer every day that I'm in the office.
Anyone have a solution for me?
Sincerely,
Hating Vista in Mora.
