Oh No Where Is My Cell Phone?

Oh No Where Is My Cell Phone?  Have you ever forgotten to leave home without your cell phone or you lost your cell phone somewhere?

It happened to me twice.  One time, I left my cell phone in a department store and couldn't find it.  I was panic because there were sooooooo many phone numbers and data in there.  Luckily, I called the store and was told (after an hour) someone picked it up and honestly gave it to the store staff - It was the 1st iphone when it first came on the market.

This morning, I left home without it and didn't realize it until I got to church (my weekly bible study class) and long story short - I determined not to go home to get it and just called my cell every hour to check on messages.  Guess what, life is not falling apart and phone calls were still getting returned.

Do we realize how much we rely on our gadgets these days? The latest technology does help us to do our business more efficiently.  However, we were so absorbed into our reliance and 'addiction' to messaging, we lost touch on a lot of our own time and human relations.

Well, one important lesson to learn - always back up data on your cell phone - at least once a week just in case.

Backing of my cell is the one thing I never seem to do Angela. However, my phone is like part of my body, it's never 2 feet away, much to my family's dismay.

Angela, I am attached to my cell phone but as much for my young adult children than anything else.  A few years ago at Christmas we were visiting my sister in Colorado and my daughter was with me and my sister and our son was with his Uncle and Dad.  The boys showed up at the restaurant to meet us waving my cell phone and were shocked when I said no big deal I knew where my children were (LOL).  All my information on my cell phone is on my outlook so that is one thing I don't worry about.  I always have carbonite working in the background as a double precaution.

I leave it at home often.  My eye glasses too.  I really need to be more organized.  And once I left it in a store dressing room... thankfully a store clerk found it, called home, my husband called my mom (I was shopping with her) and we returned and got it.  I've been a bit more careful when I'm out since then.

Angela, I have had those cell-less moments. It is usually a signal I need to stop and smell the roses because I am paying attention to the wrong things. Glad to hear that you got it back.

I walk out the door all the time without my phone. By the time I back out of the driveway, I usually realize I don't have it, so I pull back in the driveway and go in to get it. My neighbors might be wondering why I drive in and out of my driveway so much!
