Millersville University Women’s Basketball Team is heading to the

NCAA Division II Tournament for the 4th year in a row!  


MU will be playing West Liberty tomorrow, Friday March 11th at noon in the first round of the American Regional Championship hosted by Edinboro University in northwestern PA. Millersville’s 22-6 record will be paired against West Liberty’s 24-6 record, a team Millersville defeated last year in the first round of NCAA.

Other teams in the Atlantic Regional Championship are Johnson C Smith, Glenville State, Shaw, Charleston, California University of PA,  and Edinboro.

Second round games will be held on Saturday with the finals at 7pm on Monday. The Regional Champion will be in the Elite Eight and travel March 22-25 for the finals at Missouri Western State University at St. Joseph, Missouri.

Congratulations to Aurielle Mosley & Mashira Newman were named to the All Pennsylvania Conference East. Aurielle was selected to the First Team and Mashira was named to the second team. Coach Mary Fleig earned her 500th win earlier this season and is looking to improve Millersville's NCAA performance this year.

Showtime is 7:30pm.  Tim Deubler is Harold Hill and Marian the librarian will be played by Jill Wiley. @Russel - Unfortunately, Millersvile lost but it was a game down to the wire. 71-68.

Joyce, I think basketball is a great activity for girls/women and how nice of you to post this.  I was a high school girls basketball assistant coach for eight seasons and it was an honor to coach such hardworking student/athletes!
