Sales continue to post strong activity in the Mid-Atlantic and Maryland Region's spring housing market. For the week ending February 26 there were 12.2 percent more signed purchase agreements than there were a year ago. Over the last 3 months there have been 15.6 percent more Pending Sales than there were during the same period a year ago.

Supply has been a different story, where new listings and inventory are not matching the pace of prior years. There were 18.2 percent fewer New Listings for the most recent reporting week compared to last year. Over the last three months there have been 5.8 percent fewer homes placed on the market. The 53,479 homes on the market are a decline of 7.4 percent from a year ago. With sales posting strong figures and new listings not following suit, expect inventory to continue to decline as 2011 progresses.

You read it right…..”Sales are posting STRONG FIGURES and new listings not following suit”.. EXCEPT MAYBE….YOURS!!

“Expect inventory to continue to decline as 2011 progresses” that is until Bank of America decides to open the flood gates of foreclosure auctions which will eventually hit the market as REO Real Estate Owned properties in Maryland which YOUR home will be in competition with….you don’t want that!! Get your home listed in Maryland NOW while the inventory is LOW….it just makes sense to DO!

Why market your home in Baltimore, Anne Arundel County, Cecil County, Montgomery County or any of the surrounding areas during a time when the inventory will be increased by Bank Owned Homes in Maryland….. (scratching head).
