Murrieta News: Daylight Savings Time 2011 - Change Clocks and Smoke Alarm Batteries.

What time is it? It's daylight savings time, or day light savings time! No matter your current time, regardless of time zones, it's day lights savings time. Sometimes called daylight time, day light savings times, and day light savings time, it's time to "spring forward" because of Daylight Savings Time 2011.It’s time to “spring forward” an hour. This Sunday, March 13, 2011 at 2:00 a.m., daylight savings time begins and all clocks must be set forward by one hour.

It’s also a good time to replace the batteries in your smoke alarms. CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department encourage everyone to use the start and end of daylight savings time as a reminder to change the batteries in their home’s smoke alarms as well.

Sometimes called daylight time, day light savings times, and day light savings time, it's time to "spring forward" because of Daylight Savings Time 2011.In a 2008 Fire Prevention Week Survey by the American Red Cross and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), 96% of U.S. homes reported having at least one smoke alarm, yet only three-quarters of all respondents had changed their smoke alarm’s battery within the past year.

Consider taking CAL FIRE and Riverside County Fire Department’s advice and replace smoke alarm batteries this weekend.

And here in California, if you don’t have carbon monoxide detectors in your home, it’s time to do it. As of January 1, 2011, California requires detectors in the home when it is sold.

Excellent reminder, Jim. I need to buy a carbon monoxide detector next time I’m at Costco.
