A message from my cousin in Tokyo...

By
Industry Observer

Just got word from a cousin who lives in Tokyo. The following is his note to me today: Please pray for everyone affected by this gargantuan and historic tragic event. Blessed be the poor in Spirit. I've never heard him so disconcerted before and he's lived there a long time and experienced many earthquakes.

Subject: Earthquake

The earthquake was about 250 miles north of the Tokyo area, but was so very, very strong that it felt
like it was just under our condo. The building shook violently for about three minutes and things started
falling off the shelves here and there with the result being.....broken glasses, broken vases, dishes and too
many things to mention. Utilities were not affected and we were fortunate to have not been injured.
After shocks have been occurring all during the night and one is happening right now。。。。。

Jesus, we pray for all those in harm's way in the Pacific region right now. We know your mercy triumphs over all evil. We ask you to still the ground and seas and keep all safe from further harm in Japan and every nation hit with the aftermath. Lord we ask for any and all trapped by falling buildings to be found and extricated safely. Be there strong tower in this hour of need Father, In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Bob & Bonnie - Earthquake and Tsunami are so devastating.  They are the most horrifying things to experience.  I hope and pray to God that your cousin is safe in Tokyo.

From the boat, Jesus said, "Peace, be still."  The earth hears His voice, and obeys!  His boat--our refuge.

Thank you everyone, your prayers are cherished. My cousin is ok and still has all his utilities and his building is intact as far as he knows. He lost a bunch of stuff to breakage, that is all. He is also rather shaken by it all... no pun intended. He did say this was the worst he's ever felt and it seemed like it would last forever.

The Japanese people are really an amazing people. They have a quiet dignified resilliency to them that reminds me of ants. When you wipe out an ant hill, the ants don't sit around and mope saying things like: "It took me a week to make that hill" or Whoa is me." They just start to clean it up and rebuild it all over again. That is what the Japanese people will do as they always do. We could take a lesson from them. There are no lawsuits to file, nobody to blame, nobody to shout at about it all, just move on and be thankful for what they do have. Neighbor will help neighbor and piece by piece, they will recover. May God be there for them in their hour of need.
