The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Kansas City is one of the largest in the United States - right behind New York and Chicago. The main St. Patrick's Day Parade will be on St. Patrick's Day, Thursday March 17th, starting at 11:30 am. The Parade route for 2011 is the same as it was last year. Start at 33rd Street, down Broadway into Westport.
Browne's Irish Market, at 33rd & Pennsylvania will be open for breakfast at 8am so plan on having an Irish breakfast before staking out your spot to watch the Parade.
The Brookside Warm Up Parade starts today, Saturday March 12 at 2pm from 65th & Wornall. The St. Patrick's Day Parade in Brookside is very family friendly and a good venue for those who want to take their dog along.
The Martin City Irishpalooza Parade is tomorrow, March 13th 2pm at 135th & Holmes. The Beer tent opens at 11:30am. There are contests for best dressed pets and children 11:30 - 1:30 and plenty of food tents to choose from. Irish BBQ anyone?
Snake Saturday Parade & Festival in North Kansas City starts at 11am Saturday March 12th at 14th & Swift. NKC goes all out with the celebration, bringing in pony rides. live entertainment, a petting zoo, a race car show and plenty of food vendors.
Lee's Summit Emeral Isle St. Patrick's Day Parade begins at 1pm Saturday March 12th in downtown Lee's Summit.
Belton's St. Patrick's Day Parade is on Thursday March 17th at 5pm on Main Street.
