Our thoughts are with you Japan

I watch the television in horror as the tragedy in Japan unfolds.  I am horrified but cannot, nevertheless, turn off the news channels and their coverage.  I feel helpless watching the suffering that no doubt, is just beginning.  I worry about the nuclear power plants and the effect a melt down might cause around the globe.  Watching tsunami waters barreling into our American harbors only reinforces how small the world really is.

I also wanted to mention what a great thing I think it is for AT&T to broadcast the Japanese TV channel on our U-Verse so that Japanese Americans can get information from a local source.   Great job AT&T.  It shows we all can help in our own way.

Despite feeling helpless, I know that there is one way to help.  Give to the Salvation Army or Red Cross.  Right now, cash is king.  The money can be used as needed to help the Japanese people.   Give what you can and keep the Japanese people in your thoughts and prayers.

Jim and Linda.. It is times like this that we all need to work together.  The Earth is giving us signs every day on how angry it is... I think the human race needs to pay heed.

Jim and Linda.....thaks for the shout out!!!!!  Too cool to have the outpouring of support.  Bummer that they're under all this catostrophic stress.  It really is horrendous.

Jim and Linda--very nice post.  Sitting here on Maui waiting for the tsunami to arrive was one thing; but watching the video of Japan was sad, knowing those people had no time to prepare.  Our hearts go out to these people and, yes, it doesn't hurt to open one's checkbook at this time, either.
