When my children were young I read them the amazing book The Little Engine That Could. Even though it is considered a children's book, The Little Engine That Could is one of the greatest motivation books I have read. It's a tale of the effects positive thinking can have when facing seemingly overwhelming obstacles.
So if you're in need of a little inspiration this weekend then pull out this classic and feel like a kid again.
More importantly, know that you can overcome any obstacle with a little positive thinking. Just repeat to yourself, as the little blue engine did and as I had my children do when they said there was something they couldn't do, "I think I can, I think I can, I think I can". And don't forget to congratulate yourself when it's all over with a "I thought I could, I thought I could, I thought I could".
