Valerie, It seems that bronze statues capture memories. I've seen a lot and I almost always have to stop and examine them.
Susan, This one is in Salt Lake City and is next to the main Public Library (I also love libraries). I had a couple of appointments and then discovered several wonderful statues. I will have to check out the ones at the Crystal Cathedral someday.
Sharon, Thank you. I love it when I find them.
Chris, It is great when you see something with so much meaning.
Gary, Great how an artist can capture such a moment with such expression. Great find!
Gloria
Gary, they say that children laugh when adults throw them into the air because they are totally grateful that they didn't get dropped! Cute shot.
Gloria, It is a great find. I am always amazed at the talent of some artists.
Patricia, That sounds like an excellent reason to me.
That is a pretty cool picture! I can just hear the giggles!
Chris, Thank you. It was so lifelike that I almost wanted to start talking to them.
Gary - so lifelike it's kinda scary - the artist must be one amazing sculptress, very cool!
Gary I love it, and your title was just perfect.
Gary, these are great statues. We have a bookstore in town that has a statue of a man reading to two children on a bench and everytime I see it I almost forget that its not real.
Hey Gary - Beautiful shots, well seen. I have yet to find your statues, and I live in the area. My shot in this response was found in SLC. There must be a treasure of this artwork still to be found.
I am looking forward to viewing your body of photograpic work on ActiveRain. I'm sure that I'm in for a treat.
Gary,
What a beautiful statute that you posted! I like the one Larry posted too! Here's one that was a shot in the dark for me while wandering on Church property after dark in Richardson, TX.
Kristine, It is amazing how lifelike some of the sculptures are. My only disappointment was not finding the name of the artist. I am going to try and find out.
Jennifer, Thank you. Sometimes I think that it is more work to think of titles that it is to go out and take the photos.
Samantha, You will have to take a photo of that statue. I would love to see it.
Larry, Thank you. Your photo really picks up the action of the statue that you found. Where is it? The ones that I found are just South of the main Salt Lake Library and in the same block.
Patricia, Your photo is great. I really like the shot in the dark. Now I will have a whole new technique to try on future statues that I find.
I love this statue! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Gary - I'd be guessing 100 S Main, but will check and let you know.
Christie recognized your statue.
Elizabeth, I'm glad that you liked it. Thanks for stopping by.
Larry, I was guessing about 500 South and just off of State Street. let me know what you find out. Next time i will have to look and have an address for any statue.
Gary,
This is a great capture and perfect title to go with it. Thanks. :)
Steve
Steve, Thank you. I'm glad that you like both the photo and the title.
Hi Gary... I like the realism in this one. The expressions on the faces of the subjects is amazingly lifelike.
Steve, The expressions were very accurate. I'm glad that you liked them. Ellen, It does express a lot of emotion. I posted another one earlier that also had a lot of "I can do anything" feeling:
