Chris- I was 5, that was 1970 and my present came about 6 weeks before my birthday.  It was my baby brother.  And my mom stayed home from work for a year when he was born so I had my very own personal kindergarten teacher that year.  But as for gifts that were wrapped up, just don't remember.

Steve- I've always thought so too.  And my husband is Irish :)  Well 1/2 anway.
