All home inspections are not the same, or are they?
I have seen an increase in the number of real estate agents that tell me they are "looking out" for their client by referring an inspector that is the cheapest. The agent doesn't come right out and say to the buyer "You have to use this inspector". But, they basically are giving the buyer the impression that every inspection is the same by telling the buyer that inspector A is this price, B is this price and C is this price, take your pick. The entire process is now just a price point comparison.
I would never ask this question to a client, but why does a car buyer choose the newer model car instead of a 20 year old beater? They both get you to and from work and home, right? The beater is cheaper, right? It's because the newer model has features and benefits that make it a better value. You expect to pay more if you're getting more.
Imagine if every home buyer bought the least expensive house, completely disregarding the house that was more expensive but was a better value because it fit their family's needs perfectly. Selling by price alone is not selling, it's order taking.
There is no one that can explain why my service costs more better than I can. No one can explain what benefits the buyer will receive by using my service compared to another inspector better than I can. Just the same, I would never consider trying to explain to a buyer why they are better off with one agent over another based on price.
For the best value in home inspections in the Bourbonnais, Bradley, Kankakee area.
