Down Payment Assistance Programs are available from Seminole County, Orange County, the city of Orlando and other Central Florida communities, to eligible first time homebuyers for the purchase of a new or existing home. Depending on the gross household income, assistance may be $10,000, $20,000 or $30,000, although programs may vary from county to county or city to city.

Target groups include city or county employees, teachers, and public safety personnel who are purchasing homes and may not have to be first time homebuyers. Purchasers must typically occupy the property as a principal residence for at least ten 10 years. The down payment assistance becomes a grant once the period of affordability has been satisfied.

Most available down payment assistance programs require that the first time homebuyer register for a Homebuyer Education Class.  This is the first step. We can put you in touch with a qualified lender to help you find out if you qualify, or help you get registered for a homebuyer education class.  Click here to reach us for more information on down payment assistance programs in Seminole or Orange County.

Programs are open to all without regard to race, color, sex, handicap, religion, familial status, or national origin.
