Canadians wishing to help the relief efforts for Japan have many options, here are just a few.

You can visit the Canadian Foreign Affairs website. for information on Canada's response and information on donating.

Through the Canadian Red Cross  1-800-418-1111 or You can Text the word ASIA to 30333 on the Rogers or fido networks to donate $5.00 ($5.00 will be added to your phone bill) 

Donations can be made through Christian Reformed World Relief Committee, the Humanitarian Coalition(CARE Canada, Oxfam Canada, Oxfam-Quebec and Save the Children Canada), UNICEF Canada,  World Vision Canada, or the UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.

What a great service you are doing Kathy by offering these various options for people to help with this crisis.  It breaks my heart everyday to see this on the news and I just wish that I could wrap the world in my arms and make it all go away.

It seems like we are so innundated with tragedies the last couple years that I don't see ass much action for the Japanese as we as Americans can come up with.

I am going to reblog this and try to get more interest in helping these brave people.

Jim - Thanks the message is important ..... I heard on the news last night the Canadian Red Cross had raised 8 million dollars which will help but in the big picture is likely a drop in the bucket compared to what will be needed.
