In the Denver metro area we are fortunate to have many wonderful school districts and schools, which can be a very important factor when choosing to buy a home for some. The Littleton Public schools are one such school district.

While Colorado is an open enrollment state, some schools are at or near capacity, and living within the school's geographic boundaries can sometimes be the only or best way to be certain of enrollment.

Powell Middle School is an excellent school and I am often asked about it. While it can sometimes be easier for open enrollment to occur in the elementary schools in Littleton, at times the Middle and High Schools are a bit tighter and it is not guaranteed at all that a student can open enroll. With that in mind, sometimes folks request to only look at homes within those school boundaries, such as Powell Middle School.

Here are all of the homes available for sale in the Powell Middle School boundaries - which is part of the Littleton Public Schools. This map is a feed form the Denver MLS that will show current listings at all times. Kids that go to Powell Middle School will generally live in either the Arapahoe High School or Heritage High School boundary. You can see the data on the individual homes as to which high school boundary it would be within.

LOVE THE MAP!  I am from Nebraska where school districts are important.  Unfortunately we only have one district in the valley here (argh!)

Steve  We both know schools are at the top of the list of families with childres, but it should be at the top of everyone's list since it impacts resale
