Do you know CPR? Knowing this procedure can save a life and now one city in California is looking for some everyday heros. The San Ramon Valley Fire Dept. has launched an iPhone app that uses the phones GPS capabilities to alert registered citizens certified in CPR of the need for CPR in their vicinity.

This revolutionary way of finding someone that know this life saving technique is sure to save heart attack victims and bridge that gap between first spoenders and the arrival of emergency personnel. A savings of mibutes and even seconds in the case of an emergency can make the difference between living and dying and this new method of using smartphone technology in conjunction with GPS technology is truly cutting edge.

For more information visit the San Ramon Fire Department's website with more information on how you can do your part to save a life.

That's a great idea!  CPR is very easy to learn and we should all take a class.  YOu never know, you might save your client one day!

THAT IS A GREAT IDEA! I think they should share that with every county in the US as I could easily save thousands of lives every year.
