How do you become INACTIVE on "Active" Rain????

Pretty simple, pretty straightforward?  Why do I ask?  There are people that I've seen within my county that now show as "profile is no longer active".  So I got to a wondering....what is the trigger that makes you inactiver?  Is there a length of time that you don't post or comment that a trigger is automatically done?  Are you contacted by AR and notified that "we haven't seen you active...are you?"

The deeper reason for asking is that I often times travel.  yes I have access to the internet, but sometimes time just doesn't permit.  I'm sure I'm safe if I'm off for a week, but 2, 3 or 4?

What's the criteria here?

Larry, I don't know the exact criteria, but I've seen people who haven't posted or commented in several months and their profiles are still "active."

Larry, could it be that the bloggers themselves made their profile inactive?  I'm parked until someone who knows comes along.

It might be that their profiles where deactivated, or erased.  Some people are not posting information or even active anymore for their own reasons and you can still read their blogs and posts.

Larry, I don't know the criteria either, but I guess they forgot how great this site is.

I think you have to deactivate your profile and /or blog otherwise it just goes on  and on and on....

Maybe they are taking the fine wine approach..... leave it be and let it age. "Maybe it will get better with time"

Hey Larry. Maybe their profiles were deactivated by the powers that be at AR. If you don't get an answer here, you might want to contact AR to see what the deal is.

Hey Larry,

Great question! I too, don't have an answer. This just keeps me motivated to keep contributing to active rain.
