Grass!

Oh yeah!

The snow is starting to melt and I saw some grass today. I am not kidding. A small patch about 10 feet across. I am so excited.

This week the temperatures are supposed to be in the 50's possibly. Although we will still freeze at night, and there may be more snow coming, the first sign of life is out there.

Yippee!

Yes, we have a little grass in New Hampshire, but it's all brown so far.  But the 8 foot snow mountains are down to 5 feet, so that's progress.

Kevin, I don't mind the snow as long as it doesn't hang around very long.

I need to think about mowing my "dog yard" grass - a crew does our 3 acres around the house; however, I have a gas push mower that I use for the enclosed dog area - I have to police for dog bonz FIRST * they are sneaky that way,

After last week's 'heat wave' we had an inch of snow yesterday morning and rain last night.  Today is dreary again in the 40s and windy, too.  But we can see the brown grass with some green peeking through.  Kevin, remember it's still winter!

Most of our grass is still brown down here. However, I did have to mow last weekend, the onions and the weeds appear to be very green already.

Kevin,

I'm glad for you! Spring is right around the corner for you folks up there. I know it's been a long cold winter so it's great to hear the excitement in your voice!
