My First Real Estate Show

After having been with Visual Tours for over a year, I have decided to start on Real Estate Show.  Not that there was anything wrong with Visual Tours but I liked the more elegant look to the Real Estate Tour.  AR's Jeff Turner personally answered some of my questions and customer service answered the phone and spoke clear English (as did Visual Tours) and took care of my validation quickly.  I was up and running in no time at all and ready to start my first show.

The flow of adding the nine photos and captions for a 60 second show (they also have a five photo 30 second show) was very easy and the tour was officially created.  There were some descriptions, photo order, additional photos (did not appear to be any upward limit of photos that could be added, and a flyer that needed to be created by clicking the link.

Below is the result of my first show and may there be many more.  This is one I am taking to a listing presentation to an unrepresented seller.  I hope it will WOW them.  I hope you will enjoy it as well!  Now I just have about twenty more tours to switch over to shows!

Thanks and "Don't keep me a secret--I'm never too busy for your referrals!"

Lawrence- Don't you just love the RES! They are so easy to do and so effective because they pull on emotions. You can check my community RES and Listing RES shows for more ideas on some of the creative uses of the shows. Also, If you want a few tips, I can give them to you. I will not do so without your permission. Katerina

Beautiful!!!  I just signed up for Real Estate Shows myself...they are very elegant, very affordable, and well worth the price.  I am using it for local shows too, like community features, etc...not just virtual tours.

Hi Rob- question for you about RES.  I have never used VT but many in my office did.  Just as I was about to sign up with VT our brokerage bought everybody RES and paid for it.  I love it, its fast, easy and can be used in so many different ways- really just about anything you can imagine on the web.  My question to you and maybe I'm doing something wrong but do your photos seem to be downgraded in quality when the show is published?  I was comparing it against some VT's last night and the photos dont seem as sharp.  I have a few on my blog and comparing them to the original photos it just seems a litty fuzzier.  Is there a quality setting that you know of?

RES is one the best thing I have ever added to my real estate marketing tools. Not just the tour itself, but also the how easy they have made it to create and then post the tour to other sites.

Nestor and Katerina Gasset Wellington Florida Luxury Homes I would love your tips!  Please email them to me when you get a chance!

Lake Wallenpaupack Pike County PA Real Estate | Karen E Rice Thanks for the comment and your ideas for local shows too.

Jason Smith Normally, I take my own photos but these were from the old MLS listing to just put together something quick to impress the seller when I try to get the listing.  The quality I'm sure will improve when I use my own photos and in no way do I believe Real Estate Shows is to blame for this.  I just didn't give them much to work with.  When I get the listing, I can replace these photos with my photos.  Thanks for bringing this up so I could point out it is not Real Estate Shows' fault for the poor photo quality.

Roy Kotz You are absolutely correct.  I love their music choices too.

I forgot to give credit to my younger brother Lucky, #1 in Iowa on AR, who pointed out to me about using Real Estate Shows.  Thanks Lucky!

You are ahead of the curve Rob!

I love RES also.  Don't forget to go and do neighborhood tours and post blogs about them.  You will soon be the neighborhood expert on the net!

I think you might have taken me wrong Rob- I meant my shows and not yours.  I'm not faulting RES's either.  I was actually talking about my own RES's.  I see what the photos look like before I upload then.  I upload them at a whopping 9MP so they are high quality photos.  When I look at my shows however the photo quality is greatly reduced after the show is published.  Hope this clears it up.  I was just wondering if somebody knows of a quality level somehwere in the program.  I know many different photo programs have different quality levels for different uses.

Jason Smith I'm afraid I haven't seen any quality adjustment.  Is Jeff Turner out there looking in?  Any ideas Jeff?

Jason Smith  By the way, I do know that at 9MP times 9 photos there is no way anyone would wait for the show to load so that is probably why the cut in quality that you are referring to is occurring.  But even at 100 to 200k per photo the quality should be great for a show.  I believe consumers understand quality won't be a 9MP photo on the web nor do I think they would want it due to the time it would take to download even with high speed internet.  Sorry, I didn't understand what you were referring to earlier.

I'm with you Rob on the photo quality.  On my first show I had resized all of my photos.  I reduced them to 35% of their original size.  I started building my first RES and got a warning that said the size of the photos was to small and was going to affect the quality of the show.  From that point on I just used the full 9MP photos but get the same results.  I agree loading 9 photos at 9MP would send most lookers running.

As an example I have choosen one of my RES's at 9 MP and a VT from our office with 5MP photos.

For those of you who have used Visual Tours and Real Estate Shows, what do you see as the relative advantages/disadvantages of each.  I'm currently using Visual Tours and am familiar with it's cost and capabilities.  Can anyone do a feature by feature comparison?
