Internet Marketing Vs. Direct Mailing

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential CT Realty

As I've been getting deeper and deeper into marketing on the internet and Search Engine Optimization, I've been wondering how you all feel about internet marketing and the tried-and-true direct mailing. I'm beginning to lower my efforts and budget in direct mailing in order to focus more on my internet campaigns. From your experience, which seems to be more effective right now?

I know that direct mail neighborhood newsletters are tried and true, but it will take a lot of time, especially now. But I can drive around parts of this town and show you some super successful direct mail farms.

Lydia, statistically a mailer usually only brings back about a 1% return on your investment. I've never seen a study on how much an Internet campaign produces.

It may be harder to tract.

Direct mail can be best for old clients and their referrals. I do not think we can forget that.

While internet marketing can be a good tool to generate new leads.
