Master Planned Communities - Pros and Cons

Master planned communities are quite popular in the Metro Atlanta real estate market. These communities typically consist of numerous subdivisions with different price ranges, features, etc. developed together with amenities such as golf, tennis, playgrounds and even commercial or retail space.

tennisThe lure of these neighborhoods is that you can live, work and play close to home and have the attractive amenities that are generally found in this type of neighborhood. Typically you are getting a little less square footage in the home as you are buying the "lifestyle" and amenities. Master planned communities are not as prevalent due to them needing a significant area of land to develop in one contiguous parcel. Some of the more recognizable master planned communities in our area are Legacy Park in Kennesaw and Bridgemill in Canton.
