I've just completed my GRI designation, and it got me thinking about other designations available through formal continuing education for real estate professionals. My prediction is that in the next year or two there will be an "AMS" designation: Accelerated Marketing Specialist.
Most of you are probably familiar with the term, and may use it as part of your daily jargon. Accelerated Marketing is a strategy that is implemented campaign-style to realize a wider audience to sell a property. Real Estate Auctions are an excellent way to utilize an accelerated marketing strategy to move a property within a specified amount of time. However, there are many ways to apply accelerated marketing strategies to standard listings.
In this interesting business age of social media and nationwide (even global!) networking, all from the comfort of your living room, I think this is the most alluring aspect about the real estate industry - how Brokers are applying accelerated marketing strategies in a challenging economy for the benefit of their clients.
I am very pro continuing education. I teach a CE Auction course and serve on the education committee at my local board. Are any of you education / designation enthusiasts seeing this designation in development? Maybe this is already out there and I have not found it?
If you are using the term "Accelerated Marketing Specialist" in your listing presentations or on-line presence (particularly if you are not an auctioneer as that's a given in our niche) I'd love to hear about it.
