New Homes in Clayton, North Carolina's 'Community of the Year' Portofino.
The roads are cut and gravel is down and the blacktop will be going down tomorrow, weather permitting.
This is the newest phase in Portofino, the development most recently named North Carolina's Community of the Year by the North Carolina Home Builders Association. The Churchill Collection will feature homes that start around $280,000, lot size ranges from a half an acre and up. The home plans are in keeping with the other neighborhoods in Portofino in that the exterior will be stone, hardiplank or brick. There is good separation between houses and houses do not back up to one another. In keeping with the Audubon Signature Program the developers of Portofino have preserved the natural landscape and taken great steps to protect the streams and trees.
The developer has preserved as many trees as possible and the entrance road will be a joy to return to as it curves down into the woods, crossing over two creeks and winding through the property. Here is a video of how it looked a couple of weeks ago.
Check out the wildlife!! (No Not Me!)
