Rob Johnson from Lehigh Valley PA just a while ago posted a piece on the then 49,999 members we had on AR.  He posed a curious question and ignited some fun about identifying the 50,000th member -- sort of a significant moment in AR history.

I took a snapshot at the current 50,006 and mused over how some of my non-believer acquaintances might read the whole thing.  So, I asked about the significance of my read -- that is, 7 over 49,999.  Here's the response I got:

Funny you should ask this question.  There was a jump of seven that your mind's eye caught.  How does this look from a Numerologist's point of view?  This "number glimpse" reinforces the investigative nature of our business, and the loneliness of it at times.  They say our profession digs deeper into life -- that we're a bit different: we're inventors, we like solitude at times, that we are discriminating (but not racist), and that we're even loners.

I say, let's hope that by the time this posts we have yet grown again.  I don't think loners who like solitude in our business is good for business.
