On the day following St. Patrick’s Day … and Friday Funnies ...

A drunken Irishman was staggering down the main street of town. Somehow, he managed to make it up the stairs to the cathedral and into the building, where he crashed from pew to pew. He finally made his way to a side aisle and into a confessional.

A priest had been observing the man. Figuring the fellow was in need of some assistance, the priest proceeded to enter his side of the confessional.

The priest's attention was rewarded only by a lengthy silence. Finally the priest asked, "May I help you, my son?"

"I dunno." came the drunk's voice from behind the partition.

From pew to pew to ...... Phew!

Carol, I managed to stay away from all the celebrations ... my office started at 9:00am ... a group of them hired a limo to go out and party. I'll bet a few of them wonder how they got home (LOL) Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for the morning chuckle Kathleen. Yesterday was a traffic nightmare everywhere I went... I couldn't wait to get home and out of the madness at 6pm!! But, I passed quite a few bars where the patrons appeared to have started celebrating early in the day.. wonder how they feel today? ;)

My family is out of town so yesterday I cooked the corned beef and cabbage, drank Guniess and Irish whisky while listening to the Irish Rovers.

It was a great day.

Peggy, I can only imagine what you were going through yesterday with the traffic nightmare. I do know what it is like to just want to get home and be out of the madness. For a completely different reason, that is how my day was today. Non-stop rain, traffic accidents, delays, delays, delays.

Scott, LOL – cabbage and broccoli are two smells that over power any home. I do not know how to remove it ….other than over-time. Thanks for stopping by.

William, It’s funny and yet sad that some people actually do get so drunk they can hardly walk and don’t know where they are.

Ted, I certainly hope not! I am sure the staggering and being lost happens a lot … but mistaking a confessional for a bathroom … hope not!
