Wow, it has been some time since I have actually written a blog entry. My life has been wonderfully busy...with that my Spring Renewal Blog. It started with my blogging here on ActiveRain. I met the most brilliant person, Elizabeth Cooper-Golden of @ Homes Realty Group here in Huntsville. She was pursuing me for some time and really needed agents that she could trust. Me. I was beyond words and was very flattered. But, I was set in my old ways, in my old company, doing my same old things with hopes that my business would pick up. With the start of the New Year I decided that THIS is going to be my year, my families year. I absolutely HATE change but know that it is a big part of life and you just need to follow your heart and instincts. I took a chance when my Husband and I moved to Huntsville, AL from the Cleveland, Ohio area. Leaving my entire family and coming to a place where I knew not one person. It was one of the BEST decisions we have ever made. I just had to keep that in mind. Compared to that, changing Companies would be nothing. February 4th was the day I decided to take the leap of faith. I accepted Elizabeth's proposal and immediately went to work with Elizabeth…the referrals came rolling in and FAST. I have been so busy in this past month than I ever was last year and I LOVE IT. With my new WONDERFUL Company comes my "spring renewal and cleaning".
I now have a fast, efficient filing system, working on a new and exciting web page to incorporate @Homes Realty Group's page, made a Fan Page on Facebook, setting up all my contacts on a “drip” campaign, going to be getting two new designation this year (even if it kills me-lol), throwing out all my junk that I have been saving for years, and really just having a blast with Real Estate again!
With my occupational renewal also comes my personal renewal. With a year worth of doing practically nothing except sitting at my computer HOPING the leads come to me, came a few extra pounds (okay, 15 to 20), which is now on its way out the door (how can it not when you are so busy that you are filling your gas tank up 2x a week?!?). My family plays a huge part in everything I do. I plan on making them a priority and setting aside time for each and every one of my 4 children-I am becoming more active in the PTA at Farley Elementary School and am even heading the "Campus Clean-Up Day" on April 2, 2011. I plan on making my wonderfully patient husband a priority and plan on a "date" night for just the two of us (and maybe even a vacation)....wow, it truly is amazing how much just one change in your life can effect many aspects of your life...for the BETTER.
I just want to tell Elizabeth Cooper-Golden, THANK YOU. Thank you for (gently) pushing me to take that first baby step. It has made a major change in just about everything I do.
I love what I do again, Real Estate. If you are thinking about making a change in ANY aspect of your life, follow your heart and listen to your mind. The answer is right in front of you. You just need the courage to go foward and take the "Leap of Faith".
