News of a cease fire offered by Libya's foreign minister provided stock traders with some early optimism this morning.  Although there was no specific goods news from Japan there was little talk of a meltdown either.  Stocks were up over 100 points during the day before sliding to the close with a respectable 83 point advance.  Although oil finished the day on the downside, a barrel of crude is still commanding over $100.
