NEW HOMES IN LOUDOUN COUNTY VIRGINIA, WHY I LOVE TO SELL THEM.

SHOWING NEW HOMES IS LIKE LISTENING TO A BEETHOVAN SYMPHONY.

There is beauty in every stick, every brick and every room.  Together they make a home.             New Homes in Loudoun County

The structure of the home is beautiful long before the walls are added.
The bricks and mortar add beauty and mass.
The roof gives us protection and shelter.

Sticks and bricks and stones are like the notes in a symphony.

New homes Loudoun County

The wood frame of a house resemble the pipes of a Pipe Organ and they also make music.

EVERY NEW HOME HAS IT'S OWN MELODY AND THEY PLAY TO HOME BUYERS AND THEIR AGENT.

Building a new home is like writing a symphony.  Put the building blocks together and the builder makes music.

A New Home Symphony    A Sonata.  The Foyer, so important to visitors, the Foyer quickly introduces the visitor to the home's decorating Foyertheme.

Next comes a slower movement.  Time to become comfortable in the house, walk through the quiet Living Room, and Dining Room.  Not much going on there.  Relax and enjoy the quiet, the formality and the style.

A Minuet.  Introduce a faster melody and repeat it so the listener can enjoy.  The Kitchen is like a Minuet.  It's busy and there is often work being done.  Necessary work.  So, the Kitchen, like a Minuet is efficient, but not too large, or too long.

Wait, we missed the Scherzo movement.  The Family Room that is so friendly. It is comfortable and it entertains with the electronics the family enjoys, but close to the Kitchen so all the family can enjoy the melody.
Another slower movement to tour the Bedrooms.  A quiet time and a quiet decor for rest.

Finally, another Sonata.  This time with parts of all movements, repeating, repeating until the family can hum along and enjoy the totality of the new home.

Madam, you are indeed a temptress! Viewing this entices me to don a seersucker suit & kick back on one of those many porches with a Mint Julep, forever forsaking my Summit Grand Porter, and my beloved Saint Paul! Simply beautiful, Lenn, simply a beautiful home.

Sir.  You are good for the soul.  Now, perhaps folks will understand why I limit my few sales to new homes close to home.  I love the homes.  I hear music when I walk them.

You know me, Lenn. I absolutely love historic homes, and live in one, but my comment was sincere about the allure of this fine home. It will age well.

Jay.

I love the historic homes too, but for the "history" and the craftsmanship.  I love folks who build things.

The new homes don't have the craftsmanship, but they are beautiful, well insulated and roomy.

There is value in all homes.

Well done Lenn. You really do like this business don't you? That's the way I feel to. I haven't "worked" in years. I just wake up every day and do what I LOVE! What a great way to make a living.

Thanks Bryant.  I love every minute of it.  I can't wait to hit my computer every morning to see who e-mailed me the night before.  The rest of the days are just one adventure after another.

Hi Lenn - ooooh, I just love the analogies you used in this post!  When one hears 'music' like this, all is well with the world.  And what a fabulous feeling about what we do - you do, indeed, LOVE what you do, don't you?

Having sold new homes, there's something amazing about walking in during the frame stage, knowing every stick (that you can view) is YOURS to make "history" with...definitely something special about being the first owner.

Ann.  My message precisely.  I was very taken with that photo of that foyer in frame.  It's like a piece of art.  Yes.  I do, indeed, enjoy what I do.

Laurie. I agree.  It's a world apart from buying a resale.

Lenn - what a beautiful post.  The principal of my high school in Venezuela who is a musician, when he learned that I became an architect he say "architecture is like crystallized music"....I think you just achieved a way to explain that.  How I wish all new construction was quality architecture though.

Lynn, The last time I was in Maryland it was to visit a stair manufacturer. They build circular stairs like this. The tour was really good and thanks to all of the Taney Stair Manufacturers people. Should you ever get a chance to go through their plant it is worth your time.

That first picture reminds me of one of those gigantic pipe organs that you see in very few places.

Rick and Ines.  Thanks for commenting.  Architectures have an unique appreciation of the beauty in what is "behind the walls" of a home.  I love to tour homes in the "pre-drywall" stage.  It speaks to me.  Or, perhaps it "sings to me".

Randy.  Interesting.  Circular stairs have uniqueness.  They are very lovely.

Ann.  Me too.  That's why I shot the photo.

Lenn, stunning home. Great analogy on the symphony. A home with a theme like this is worth 1000 tunes.

Maestro - strike up the band.  Beautiful home and marvelous descriptive words.
