Can you imagine a year living in a fema trailer for over a year. I shot this photo in the Lakeview area of New Orleans where this house had water above the roof for 2 weeks. They have made it home while they repair their flooded home. I have a lot to be thankful this year and after seeing the ruins daily, it really hits home. Things are neither here nor there, it family, friends and neighbors. Thanks to all who have given and prayed for New Orleans and its people. We are thankful. Happy Thanksgiving!

A year is way too long to be in a FEMA trailer. I actually know someone about two hours south west of buffalo who has one from flooding; this will be a cold winter for them i dont imagine they are that insulated are they? Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving Eric and it has been nice meeting you on AR

I would think it takes a lot of patience to live live in a FEMA trailer for a year. Either that or the homeowner is very adaptable and can even live in a cave or a tent in the desert, all year. They are Survivors, they have a lot of strength and fortitude. The entire surrounding communities have shown the world their determination not to let nature beat them down. Happy Thanksgiving!

That FEMA trailer looks mighty nice when you house is underwater. I guess it has to be rough for a year, but I guess you can think of it like camping!. ok, maybe not so easy. I know the feeling of the aftermath, as we live in 'hurricane alley' in West Palm Beach, FL.  It was crazy afterwards, but at the same time the neighbors came together. I'll have to post about this sometime. thanks for the idea and the reminder that if we persist, we can accomplish.
