One of the best ways to track the amount of radioactive fallout from Japan that has arrived in Southern California is to check the South Coast Air Quality Management District website.  There, on the home page, you will find a daily summary of radiation levels.  As of today, Sunday, March 20, 2011, there is virtually no detected radiation that is above normal background levels in Southern California.

The SCAQMD operates Radiation Air Monitoring stations in Anaheim, Los Angeles, Bakersfield and Riverside for the Environmental Protection Agency.  Data for the West Coast can be found on the EPA website.
