Think you can build a spaghetti bridge? They can.

Engineering Innovation, looking to have another successful summer session, is gearing up to recruit students and sponsors.

EI is a Johns Hopkins University summer engineering program offered at Tuscarora High School in partnership with the Frederick County Workforce Development Board, and Frederick County Public Schools.

The initiative is designed to develop science, technology, engineering and math skills in Frederick County's future workforce.

EI is open to junior and senior high school students and incoming college freshmen, and they have the opportunity to earn three college education credits.

Currently the partnership is looking for promising students and corporate sponsors - the cost per student is about $2,000, of which the students are charged $650.

The demand is such that they hope to expand from one class of 24 students to two classes totaling 48 students.
